SYNOPSIS
Maria and Ione once loved each other. But now, their seventh child is to be born, only to grow up in conflict and abject poverty. Maria can't find a job and depends on her neighbour's generosity to survive. Ione beats and abuses her, and snatches away the little cash she can scrape up to go out drinking. Left by her husband, Maria cannot accept the idea of selling her baby. She would rather sell herself...
